Description: perennial creeping plant,  2 - 15 cm high, flowers from mei to july composed of 4 pink petals.  Simple, alternate, evergreen leaves with entire, in-rolled margins and acute tips. The leaves are glabrous and strongly whitened beneath and are usually less than 3 mm wide and 8 mm long (most are considerably smaller). Rode small spheric fruits 

Distribution: 
Belgium : campinien, brabançon, ardennais and lorrain districts.
 

 

Habitat: active peats, peaty moors, often with sphaignes
 

Report about the reasons of the risk:  progressive diminution of the plant owning of drying, enresinement and regression of peaty areas.
