Description: perennial plant, stems erect 30-100 cm high.  Blade folded when young, hairless and rough.  Lugule 2-8 mm long on the upper leaves, oblong.  No auricles. Panicles-like inflorescence 10-20 cm long.Spikelets with 3-6 aristate flowers.Maximum 4Cleaves per tiller.
Distribution: 
Belgique: only in Wallonie, in mosan and lorrain districts.
 
Habitat: dry lawns, mostly on calcareous and calaminaireous soils.
 
 

Report about the reasons of the risk:  very rare species, lost in somes areas but reappears sometimes. Threatened species owning of rehabilitation of calaminaireous sites.
