Description: perennial planttall stem  of 25 to 50 cm hiigh, supporting 1 to 3 yellow flowers in summer.Leaves are bright green. The upper leaves are toothed and slightly hairy, while lower leaves have rounded tips. Seeds are akene with feather of bristles.

Distribution:  Mountain plant present in all Europe..
In Belgium :
campinien, ardennais and west lorrain districts.
 

 

Habitat: moors, siliceous soils
 
 

Report about the reasons of the risk:  regression owning to the destruction of the moors. this plant is also threatened of disparition owning the excessive harvesting  for its médicinal proprieties.

Possible solutions:  preservation, protection and  control of the moors and the sparse meadows.
