Description: perennial subshrub, with numerous tortuous, ascending branched stems, wich root at the base, with small pink bell-shaped drooping flowers borne in compact clusters at the end of its shoots,  leaves in whorls of 4. The leaves are greyish and the edges are rolled under, nearly meeting below and are downy above. The small surface area effectively regulates water loss by transpiration.

Distribution: 
Belgium :campinien, flandrien, brabançon, mosan (rare), ardennais and lorrain districts. 
 

 

Ecologie : damp moors, peat soils in the process of drying.t.

Habitat: peat soils, damp heathland, more often amongs sphaignes
